According to the arrangements of the General Office of the State Council for public holidays in 2020, the specific arrangements for New Year's Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, and National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival with Tongji University are as follows:
New Year's Day: 1-day holiday on January 1, 2020
Chinese New Year: 7-day holiday from January 24 to 30. People concerned are expected to be on duty on January 19 (Sunday) and February 1 (Saturday).
Ching Ming Festival: 3-day holiday from April 4 to 6
Labor Day: 5-day holiday from May 1 to 5. The teaching arrangement on May 4 (Monday) will be preponed to April 26th (Sunday), and the teaching arrangement on May 5th (Tuesday) will be postponed to May 9th (Saturday). In short, work goes on as usual on April 26th (Sunday) and May 9th (Saturday).
Dragon Boat Festival: 3-day holiday from June 25 to 27. The teaching arrangement on June 26 (Friday) is postponed to June 28 (Sunday), i.e. work continues on June 28 (Sunday).
National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival: 8-day holiday from October 1 to 8. The teaching arrangement on October 7 (Wednesday) is preponed to September 27 (Sunday), and that on October 8 (Thursday) is postponed to October 10 (Saturday). In short, work goes on as usual on September 27 (Sunday) and on October 10 (Saturday).
During the festival, arrangements shall be made for people concerned to be on duty to ensure safety and security. In case of major emergencies, they shall be reported in a timely manner and treated properly.
