From April 18 - 21, the 2019 RoboCup China was held in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province. The event, hosted by Chinese Association of Automation (CAA) and Keqiao District Government, Shaoxing City and sponsored jointly by the RoboCup China Committee and the Robot Contest and Training Department of CAA, is the most authoritative and influential robot technology contest and technology event in China. Tongji TJArk team, directed by Prof. CHEN Qijun and LIU Chengju from the College of Electronics and Information Engineering, defended the championship in the RoboCup Soccer, Standard Platform League, setting a record of seven straight wins for Tongji University. Participating for the first time in the Home Service Robot, Standard Platform League, the team won the championship.
In the RoboCup Soccer, Standard Platform League, the TJArk team defeated the rivals with absolute preponderance and entered the final round. In the final game, facing the "old rival" Shanghai Jiaotong University team, the TJArk team was finally victorious with a score of 4:0 and defended the championship successfully setting a record of seven straight wins in this event. In the first Home Service Robot, Standard Platform League, the TJArk team won the championship with a total score of 450 points, while the second place achieved a total score of 316 points. It deserves mentioning that the TJArk team has trained the college referees to ensure the smooth progress of the contest. Their work has won high recognition from the participating colleges and universities. In recognition of the TJArk team's contribution to the RoboCup contest, the RoboCup committee awarded the TJArk team the "Outstanding Contribution Award." July this year, TJArk will participate in RoboCup 2019 in Sydney, Australia.
