Tongji TJArk Reaches a New High in RoboCup International

2018 RoboCup International was held in Montreal, Canada, June 18th- 22nd. The robot soccer team TJArk from Tongji University, directed by Prof. CHEN Qijun and LIU Chengju from the College of Electronics and Information Engineering, performed exceptionally well in the Standard Platform League (SPL) and claimed the third place eventually, making a historic breakthrough.

As the world`s most influential robotics competition, this year`s RoboCup International drew a great number of teams from all over the world. They joined the competition in various leagues and categories including Domestic Standard Platform League, RoboCup Rescue, Humanoid and SPL. The SPL that TJArk participated in has the highest level of technical sophistication and ornamental value, attracting the most public attention every year. Therefore, a medal in SPL has established its technological credentials worldwide.
