XU Jianping Attends 2018 Council of Confucius Institute in Kyung Hee University

The 2018 Council of Confucius Institute, Kyung Hee University, was held at Kyung Hee University (KHU), Korea, on Apr. 19th. Deputy Party Secretary of Tongji University XU Jianping, Vice President of KHU and Korean Chairman of the Council Kwanghee Baek, department directors from the Liberal Arts Office, the School of Economics and Management, the School of Political Science and International Relations in Tongji University, both Chinese and Korean Deans of Confucius Institute in KHU, and members of the Council attended the event.

FANG Ping, Chinese Dean of Confucius Institute in KHU, delivered the 2017 annual work report, the 2017 annual financial statement, and the 2018 annual program budget of the Confucius Institute. In 2018, the Confucius Institute in KHU will strive further to be a research-oriented comprehensive Confucius Institute, as laid out in its development plan, placing a premium on academic research. At the same time, with the assistance of Confucius Institute support groups, it will conduct an increasing number of exchange activities with municipal government institutions, enterprises, and associations throughout the surrounding areas. Most importantly, the Confucius Institute will continue to function as a cooperative platform to promote deeper collaboration between Tongji University and KHU.

As the 2018 Council of Confucius Institute, Kyung Hee University went on, Confucius Institute in KHU, took the lead jointly with the KHU Alumni Association to establish an entrepreneur support group in Korea, thus becoming the 1st Confucius Institute in Korea with a genuine entrepreneur support group.
