Tongji TJArk Sets Record of Six Straight Wins in RoboCup China

The 2018 RoboCup (Robot World Cup) China Open was held in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, Apr. 11th-15th. In the Standard Platform League (SPL), the most popular section of RoboCup, the robot soccer team, TJArk from Tongji University, directed by Prof. CHEN Qijun and LIU Chengju from the College of Electronics and Information Engineering, performed stably and triumphed with absolute preponderance, setting a record of six straight wins for Tongji University.
RoboCup China Open is the most authoritative and influential robotics and technology competition in China. And, the RoboCup SPL that TJArk participated in has the highest level of technical sophistication and ornamental value and has drawn most public attention. Therefore, the six straight wins achieved by TJArk in RoboCup has established its technological credentials.

2018 RoboCup SPL has drawn a total of 23 teams from various universities across China. After the first two group games, TJArk entered the top 16 and top 8, both with the highest scores. And then, TJArk defeated its rival from Jimei University with a score of 4:0 in the quarter final, and the team from Xi`an Polytechnic University with a score of 2:0 in the semi-final. In the final match, TJArk won against the robot players from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a lopsided score of 10:0, displaying its high level of technical and competing competence with six successive wins.

In June, TJArk will go to Montreal, Canada for RoboCup International. May TJArk maintain its exceptional performance and gain desirable results in the Robocup International.
