CTE Teachers and Students Attend the 97th TRB Conference

Teachers and students from College of Transportation Engineering (CTE), Tongji University, attended the 97th Transportation Research Board (TRB) annual conference which took place in Washington, D.C. from January 7th to 11th. The management team of CTE also organized activities for overseas talents recruitment and for in-depth international exchange and cooperation during the conference.
Participants from the CTE included 35 teachers and 94 students, who gave presentations on their latest research findings and achievements during the conference. A total of 79 submissions from CTE were selected for presentations or posters at the Conference this year which created a new high for Tongji University’s active participation at an international conference.

WU Bing, Party Secretary of the CTE, LING Jianmin, Dean of CTE, and heads from every department of the CTE organized the overseas talent recruitment and had in-depth conversations with young scholars and teachers from all over the world. They also attended seminars organized by Texas A&M University, USA and Delft University of Technology, Netherlands, to explore further cooperation with them in the future.


The Transportation Research Board (TRB) Conference is the world’s most influential academic meeting in transportation engineering and an important platform for talent and professional resources exchange. The 2018 TRB Conference drew a total of 13,000 participants.
